There are shops behind benches that people are sitting on. In front of them benches is a garbage can. There is a variety of different items in front of the stores windows and doors. In this picture there is more of a positive attitude than a negitive one because people are outside enjoying the day going out to shop or what ever other bussiness they have to go do.I think this picture is positive because of the setting it has. It is set on a main road of some sort and has lots of people in it. They all look like they are having a decent time while its light outside. Most seem to be shopping because there is a sign hanging in the top of the photo explaining prices of items they are selling such as food.Why did you take the picture at this location?, Why take the picture of this shop out of the many others. It looks like a rural area and it seems to be daytime out.There no people in the picture and what catches my mind are the houses in the backround, because they are standing alone with nothing much in the distance.There are two buildings in the back of the photo and crops nearest to the eye. They look like well made houses instead of shacks that you would see african americans live in at the time so it was probably owned by a white man. This picture seems to be negative because there are no people in it and it looks like a very rural area. Though it is a light picture outside there are no people which makes it look like a ghostly place that was just deserted. The time is daytime but it looks like its around the end of the day. There are rows of cars parked across the curb, many people walking along the sidewalk, facing a row of shops with cars on the other side of the street. There are a bunch of shops and signs on the walls of the front of the shops. One of the buildings also has a balcony on the second floor. There is a sign on the wall of the store saying the shop only serves colored people. There is about 5 or 6 people in the picture and they all look like they are around the age of 24. It seems to be a negative picture. I say this because there are only African Americans in front of the store and there are no white people showing a lot of discrimination. I would have to say the thing that caught my attention first was the Wonder Bread picture. I say this because Wonder Bread is still around in todays age which makes the company over 70 years old. This picture shows the sign of a movie theater. On the sign it says "The GEM THEATRE, Exclusive Colored Theatre". This shows racial discrimination against African Americans. The thing that catches my attention the most is the coke bottle. This is because from all the other pictures I've looked through it looks like there was coke ad's everywhere in the 1930's. They are smoking and drinking and it looks like they are looking over at something. There is a sign near the ceiling that says "Positively no beer sold to Indians". This was a shock to me because in the 1930's I thought that only black and whites were discriminating against each other. I didn't realize that other races were being discriminated against.
